Kuwait, February 28, 2021, SPA -- Kuwait condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi militias continuing to commit its terrorist crimes by targeting civilians and civilian areas in the capital, Riyadh, and other cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, by launching ballistic missile and bomb-laden UAVs.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said today in a statement that the Houthi militias' insistence on continuing these terrorist acts is a continuation of the dangerous escalation that these militias are undertaking to harm the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, undermine the stability of the region and a flagrant challenge to international and humanitarian law and hinder international efforts seeking to reach a political solution that ends the ongoing conflict in Yemen.
The ministry renewed Kuwait's call to the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume it responsibilities in stopping this dangerous escalation, put an end to it, and maintain international peace and security.
The ministry affirmed that the State of Kuwait stands by the Kingdom and supports it in all the measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty.
