Turkish Central Bank to hike interest rates next week
(MENAFN)On Friday, Anadolu Agency survey declared that, Economists expect the Turkish Central Bank to climb interest rates coming week.
At its recent assembly for the year, on Thursday, the bank"s Monetary Policy Committee will proclaim its decision on interest rates.
The median forecast by economists surveyed by Anadolu Agency was an increase in the one-week repo rate of 150 base points, i.e. 1.5 percentage points.
The Central Bank increased its one-week repo rate, in its recent meeting on Nov. 19, also known as the bank's policy rate " from 10.25percent to 15percent while taking steps to shorten the operational framework of monetary policy.
