First e-vehicles made in Qatar tested
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) QTerminals has received the first advanced electric tractor (APM 75T HE), the locally assembled energy-efficient vehicle that ensures robust savings in operational costs for the Hamad Port. The electric vehicle was assembled at the assembly line GAME (Gaussin Advanced Mobility Electric) in the Ras Bufontas Free Zone, to be used in transporting containers at Hamad Port. The testing of the e-vehicles took place in front of Gaussin's factory at the Ras Bufontas Free Zone in the presence of HE the Minister of State and QFZA chairman Ahmad bin Mohamed al-Sayed, French ambassador Franck Gellet, Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) CEO Captain Abdulla Mohamed
al-Khanji, Al Attiya Motors and Trading Company chairman Abdul Aziz al-Attiya, Gaussin Company CEO Christophe Gaussin, and QTerminals CEO Neville Bissett. The vehicles will reduce Hamad Port's carbon emissions and are capable of operating in hot weather conditions.
