APCO Names New Dubai Managing Director

(MENAFN- PRovoke) DUBAI — APCO Worldwide has named Imad Lahad, one of the leaders of its global digital practice, to the role of MD in Dubai, after the recent departure of Camilla d'Abo.

Lahad, who is currently head of APCO's AI Comms Lab and is a member of the global leadership team, joined the agency seven years ago.

He told PRovoke: 'I've been fortunate to work with APCO's bold and dynamic team in Dubai over the years, and it's an honor to take on the role of managing director. It is equally exciting and rewarding to be in the communications industry in this age of unprecedented change and transformation, especially in a dynamic and fast paced market as Dubai. I am very fortunate to be surrounded a group of seasoned and innovative communications experts.

Lahad's predecessor D'Abo https://www.provokemedia.com/latest/article/camilla-d-abo-exits-apco-nine-months-after-becoming-dubai-md left APCO in September, after nine months with the firm.

At the same time, APCO has promoted Faten AlMasri to the post of deputy managing director of its Riyadh office. AlMasri, who joined APCO in 2015 and was latterly head of the MENA government services practice, will be supporting Riyadh MD Liam Clarke to continue growing the firm's presence and capabilities in Saudi Arabia. She will also continue to lead APCO's institutional design practice.

Brad Staples, APCO's chief executive, said: 'Imad and Faten are leaders who embody the best of APCO's values and enterprising spirit. Their knowledge and expertise have been invaluable to our global team in recent years and we're delighted to expand their roles to the regional leadership level.

APCO's regional president in MENA, Mamoon Sbeih, added: '2020 has been a challenging year for companies around the world and across the MENA region. Imad and Faten's deep expertise, especially in the areas of digital transformation and public affairs, will continue to benefit our clients.

The agency now has more than 200 employees in MENA, across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Manama and Kuwait.
