Kuwait Nat'l Laboratory certified by WHO for isolating polio virus


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Laboratory has been certified by the World Health Organization for successfully isolating polio virus as part of WHO's global testing process, Ministry of Health said Sunday.
Kuwait National Laboratory scored full mark in WHO's testing to isolate polio virus, said MoH in a statement, thus honoring Kuwait's 2035 Vision.
The National Laboratory got WHO's certification after succeeding in isolating random samples sent from Netherlands' national institute for health and environment, part of WHO's global polio laboratories' efficiency test 2020.
Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah said he was proud of this achievement, which reflected development of laboratories in Kuwait. (end)
