China: recuperation seen in cargo, passenger transportation

According to industry figure, transport industry in China, when economic recoveries carried on in the middle of effective epidemic control, recuperated more in September.

The China Academy of Transportation Sciences stated that, in the past month the China Transportation Services Index (CTSI) came in at 168.4 points, decrease by 4.2 percentage points annually.

In comparison with August, the fall decreased by 4.7 percent.

The transportation volume of passengers and cargo of several transport forms, including railway, highway, waterway, and civil aviation were included by the CTSI. The stated index comprises both passenger and cargo transportation as two subindices, with 2010 as the main year and 100 points as the main value.
