Turkey suffers 68 virus-related deaths, 1,538 infections
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- At least 68 persons died of COVID-19 and 1,538 others tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said Saturday.
These new figures raised the death toll and overall infections to 7,445 and 301,348 respectively, Turkey's Anadolu Agency quoted a statement by Koca as saying.
The number of recoveries rose by 1,312 to 266,117, he added, noting that 97,416 medical tests were conducted in 24 hours, raising the total number to 9.173 million.(end)
