Qatar: 3 deaths due to coronavirus


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, May 28 (KUNA) -- Qatar said on Thursday three persons died succumbing to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), in past hours, bringing toll of the fatalities due to infection with the deadly bug to 33 in the Gulf country.
Qatari Ministry of Health said in a statement 1,967 persons were newly diagnosed as infected with the virus, thus whole number of people contaminated with the contagion climbed to 50,814.
The deceased aged 81, 50 and 25. The trio had suffered from chronic diseases, in addition to the contamination with COVID-19 bug.
It added that 23 patients were admitted at intensive care wards in past 24 hours, increasing count of those getting special care to 214.
Up to 2,116 patients also recovered in past 24 hours, putting total count of those pronounced as cured at 15,399. (end)
