Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Djibouti rise to 135

(MENAFN) The overall figure of the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Djibouti has jumped as of Wednesday to 135 as 14 more patients tested positive for the most infectious disease, according to the statement of the country's Health Ministry.

The recent cases were the only positive results of among 427 total tests conducted in the Horn African Nation over the last 24 hours, the ministerial statement revealed as it released on Wednesday.

Since Djibouti has reported its first COVID-19 case on March 18, a total of 25 patients have so far won the battle against the merciless, most infectious disease and hence been discharged from local hospitals, the ministry declared.

Fortunately, the coronavirus infection has not yet claimed any life in the Red Sea nation.

Djibouti, a central position linking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, is home to a range of international military forces and is the only sea gateway for inland Ethiopia.
