No Israa Wal Miraj holiday in UAE here's why
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Although Oman has announced a public holiday on March 22 on occasion of Israa Wal Miraj, there won't be a holiday in the UAE.
Earlier in March, in a brief statement posted on social media, the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported:
"On the occasion of Israa Wal Miraj, it has been decided that next Sunday, Rajab 27 (March 22), will be an official holiday for employees of ministries, public bodies and other units of the state's administrative apparatus as well as workers in private sector companies and institutions."

However, earlier last year, UAE ended the Israa Wal Miraj holiday and declared longer holidays for Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha.
