Report of Qatar prohibiting entry to certain nationalities on social media is fake: QCAA
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) A document doing rounds on social media about restricting entry to passengers of certain nationalities is fake clarified the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) in a statement published in Arabic and English on its social media.
The fake document, circulated on social media, states that "it is prohibited to accept all passengers arriving from Egypt, Oman and Kuwait through intermediate points, including bearers of valid residence in the state of Qatar. Turkish and Iranian nationals are exempted from the above-mentioned decision." The document is addressed to all Airline Manager and to all Travel Agents Managers.
The Civil Aviation Authority stated that this document being circulated on the social media platforms is inaccurate.
It also advised residents and audience to obtain news from its official sources through the authority's official accounts on social media and to follow up on COVID updates from the Ministry of Public Health and Qatar's Government Communications Office.
