142 refugees saved in Malta

95 refugees have been saved by the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) on Monday after 47 others were saved on Sunday.

A statement released by the government in the country said that the second group was brought in to the AFM Maritime base on Monday morning after being saved in the night, a man was quickly transported to Mater Dei Hospital for urgent medical attention.

The NGO Alarm Phone wasa alerted to at least seven boats in facing difficulties in the central Mediterranean region, five were saved by NGOs and two by Malta.
