Afghanistan- Herat, Kandahar roof cave-in incidents claim 16 lives

(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL wok): At least eight people have been killed as a result of two roof-collapse incidents in western Herat province, an official said on Sunday.

Jilani Farhad, the governor's spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incidents took place in Injil and Adrskan districts due to heavy rains on Saturday night.

He said eight people were killed, including women info-icon and children, in the two incidents.

In southern Kandahar province, a similar incident killed eight people in Spin Boldak district, according to Bahir Ahmadi, a spokesman for the governor.
