(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- SIAL Middle East 2019 exhibition of the food industry opened on Monday with 50 countries, including Kuwait, being represented.
The event, organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) on December 9-11, gathered 1,143 food, beverage and hospitality companies.
ADNEC Managing Director Hamid Al-Thaheri said the 10th edition of the exhibition serves as a platform to meet quality buyers in a trade business-friendly environment.
The annual chain of the event continues to build on the exceptional success, he said in a press release, noting that the last year event attracted 1089 exhibitors.
Over the last nine years, the exhibition contributed AED 819 million (nearly USD 223 million) to the economy of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi whether directly or indirectly, he added. (end)
