Local news website Lebanon 24 said that the maritime forces in Lebanon have apprehended Syrian and Lebanese nationals who were trying to illegally leave Lebanon to Cyprus in a boat.

The apprehended people were transferred to judicial bodies for more investigations and legal procedures.

Many Syrians living in Lebanon are facing hard financial conditions, leading them to try to flee to other countries looking for a better life.
