Earthquake kills 6 in Iran's Tark


(MENAFN) On Friday, as many as six persons were murdered in a 5.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Tark region in Iran's northwestern East Azerbaijan province, Iranian Student News Agency reported.

The earthquake which occurred 02:17 local time Friday morning (2247 GMT), also caused wounds to 380 more people.

Most of the people were wounded as they were attempting to escape their houses amid the earthquake.

The incident was followed by over 60 aftershocks, pushing people to stay out of their houses in the middle of night.
