Kuwait Education Minister partakes in 11th Arab Conference


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Nov 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Hamed Al-Azmi said on Thursday that the 11th Conference of Arab Ministers of Education, hosted by Bahrain, will focus on achieving sustainable development goals in the field of education.
Al-Azmi told KUNA on the sidelines of the conference that one of the topics to be discussed at the meeting is "the role of educational policies in achieving the fourth objective of the sustainable development goals."
He stressed that education in Kuwait is based on the legislative and legal structure through the articles of the Constitution.
He congratulated Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa and the people of Bahrain on the 100th anniversary of the start of the educational system which confirms the "civilizational and cultural" depth of Bahrain.
He praised Bahrain's keenness on developing the human element and investing in youth, which reflected on the Bahraini society.
The 11th Conference of Arab Ministers of Education kicked off Thursday under the patronage of Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa.(end)
