(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- 1920 -- Kuwait Ruler Sheikh Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah holds negotiations with a delegation from Al-Deweesh tribe in aftermath of Al-Jahraa battle, at the first public cafe built in the country. The British commissioner in Kuwait, Major Moore, attended the meeting 1960 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah decrees issuance of the Kuwaiti monetary law, stipulating that the dinar will be the country's currency. The decree also stipulates forming the Kuwaiti monetary council.
1990 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues decree-into-law, according to which the government will protect properties of citizens and expatriates.
2002 -- Iraq begins handing over the Kuwaiti national archive, looted during the Iraqi occupation of the State of Kuwait, launched on August 2, 1990. Kuwait has taken delivery of 30 boxes packed with documents belonging to the Interior Ministry.
2008 -- Central Agency for Information Technology inaugurates first phase of Kuwait Bawaba website paving the way for setting up a fully integrated government digital network.

2014 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) inks in Nicaragua a deal to lend the country USD 30 million for renovating and equipping a hospital.
