Nagananda Kodituwakku claims he was misled
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Attorney-at-law Nagananda Kodituwakku today claimed that he had been misled by the political party which wanted him to contest the Presidential election.
Nagananda Kodituwakku had publicly campaigned to contest the election and collected money for his campaign.
However he had not placed the cash bond to contest the election by the deadline.
Kodituwakku appeared outside the National Elections Commission today saying he wanted to file objections against the candidate of the Okkoma Wesiyo Okkoma Rajawaru political party.
He said that he had been preparing to contest the election since 2017 and had also renounced his British citizenship.
However, he says he was not given the opportunity to contest by the political party at the last minute.
Kodituwakku also insisted that all the funds he had received for his campaign were in a bank account and accounted for.
