2 killed in plane crash in Thailand

A rain-making single-engine aircraft crashed on Tuesday in Western Thailand, which has resulted in the death of two onboard.

It was flying over Kanchanaburi Province on duty when the aircraft experienced mechanical issues and crashed, local media reported.

The plane is commissioned under the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation, it was flying under light rain before it crashed into Kanchanaburi's Sai Yok district.

Suksan Jongsathitham, Provincial Governor of Kanchanaburi, said that the deceased were a pilot and a government official.
