German stocks drop

German shares went flat on Friday, the benchmark DAX index added 0.08 percent to set at 12,468.01 points.

Merck pharmaceutical company was the best performer in the blue chips, its shares rose 3.13 percent, Energy group RWE and multinational Software Corporation SAP added 2.92 percent and 0.70 percent respectively.

Infineon Technologies, Semiconductor manufacturer, was the worst performer in the blue chips, its shares losing 3.67 percent. Automotive supplier Continental and European health care company Fresenius SE dropped 3.24 percent and 2.14 percent respectively.

Siemens manufacturing and Electronics Company was the most-traded share and had a turnover of USD614.2 million.
