Amir, French President discuss strategic ties


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met yesterday with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, at the Elysee Palace.

They discussed strategic relations between both countries and ways to boost and develop them in various fields.

During the meeting, they touched on a number of emerging regional and international issues.

H H the Amir also attended a working lunch, held by the President of the French Republic at the Elysee Palace.

H H the Amir and the President discussed the development of strategic ties and cooperation. Talks also focused on the latest developments in the region and the world, particularly in the Gulf and in Libya.

The working lunch was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying H H the Amir.

On the French side, the meeting was attended by a number of their excellencies ministers and ranking officials.
