Pakistan- Pak Army major, sepoy martyred in IED blast in Mohmand


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Two security personnel, including a Pakistan army Major, were martyred and a soldier was injured in Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in the tribal district Mohmand, near the Pak-Afghan border on Friday.

According to Police sources, a convoy of security forces vehicles was on the way to Gorsal One Post in Baizai Tehsil of Mohmand where they were attacked with a roadside explosion near Pak-Afghan Border in Gorsal Gate. The blast injured Major Adeel of the Frontier Corps, soldier Sarfaraz and soldier Gulfam who were immediately shifted to headquarters Ghalanai Hospital for medical assistance where Major Adeel and the soldier Sarfaraz succumbed to their injuries.


The injured soldier Gulfam was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMP) Peshawar. After the incident, the forces cordoned off the entire area and started search operation, but no arrest has been reported yet.

Two dead bodies found inside a home in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Dead bodies of a boy and a girl were found at a home located in New city home in Peshawar district on Friday. The victims were identified as *Sana, 25, a resident of Lakki Marwat and 28 years old *Shahid, who is the resident of Bara in Khyber district.

Police have termed it mysteriously deads. Peshawar Police informed that they've immediately reached the spot and shifted both the dead bodies to the hospital for the post-mortem report. Police said that they will provide details after the release of the post-mortem report.

Police added that investigations were launched from various angles after collecting evidence from the scene to ascertain the actual facts. According to sources, the deceased was a student at Dental College and the house belongs to Shahryar.

According to police, both bodies were recovered from a car parked inside the house and some medicines were also recovered from the vehicle.
