PKK terror attack kills 1 Turkish soldier, wounds 2 in Mardin

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, the PKK killed one Turkish soldier and wounded two through handmade explosives put on the road in Turkey's southeastern Mardin province, bordering Syria.

The roadside bombs blasted as a result of security forces in Mardin's Omerli district moving in the area.

The soldiers who sustained injuries as a result of the explosion were rushed to Omerli state hospital.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK - considered as a terrorist group by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU - has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people.
