Strong rains expected to hit India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday that strong rains are expected to hit isolated places in Rajasthan state in the west part of India and the central Madhya Pradesh state.
The IMD said a warning that strong to very heavy rainfall is predicted inisolated places over East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and the eastern state of Odisha.
The department also warned of possible thunderstorms with lightning in certain areas over Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha.
