(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka: Vietnamese budget airline VietJet is going to launch direct flights from Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to India's New Delhi from December, announced the carrier on August 20.
The Ho Chi Minh City- New Delhi route will operate four return flights per week from December 6, while the Hanoi-New Delhi route will operate three return flights per week starting December 7.
'To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering super-saving tickets priced Rs 9 onwards, during its three 'golden days' — a special promotion by the airline from August 20 to 22, 2019,' VietJet said in a statement.
The Ho Chi Minh route will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Hanoi flights will be on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice President, VietJet said, 'We are delighted to extend our services to India and launch our direct flights between the two countries. India is one of our priority markets and an important addition to our growing network.'
VietJet will connect India to its network across Southeast Asia and East Asia countries including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan and China. It currently operates about 400 flights daily on domestic and international routes.
The flights from Ho Chi Minh City will depart at 7 pm and arrive in Delhi at 10.50 pm. Return flights will take off from Delhi at 11.50 pm and land in Ho Chi Minh City at 6.10 am (all local times).
Flights from Hanoi will fly at 7.10 pm and arrive in Delhi at 10.50 pm. The return flights will take off from Delhi at 11.50 pm and land in Hanoi at 5.20 am (all in local times).
Customers can book tickets via www.VietJetair.com or by using the VietJet Air mobile app for the travel period between December 6, 2019 to March 28, 2020.
