Japanese vehicle sales in S. Koreas plunge

(MENAFN) Japan was struck with a significant decline in its sales of vehicles in South Korea amid trade tensions between the two countries, causing consumer repercussion.

Toyota sales in South Korea suffered a 32 percent year-on-year decrease in July with Honda's sales sliding 34 percent.

Following restrictions Japan made on export curbs, South Koreans started boycotting Japanese products.

Concerns were fueled on the international electronics sector after Japan tightened controls on main exports to South Korea.
