First Mongolian input technique with handwriting, speech recognition in China


(MENAFN)Local authorities declared that China has opened the first Mongolian input technique that include handwriting and speech recognition functions.

The key laboratory of Mongolian information processing technology declared that this technique is to enable the Mongolian ethnic group to input Mongolian characters through handwriting or speech recognition.

The input technique was developed by a team led by Professor Fei Long, this technique has purposes which include Mongolian handwriting recognition, Mongolian speech recognition and Mongolian phrase association.

The Mongolian language considered to be one of the few languages in the world that use the vertical writing.

According to the laboratory, the development process of Mongolian language has decelerated many years. Also, there has been no fully useful Mongolian language input method.

Fei Long announced that: "The handwriting and speech recognition functions are still being improved, and the more users use the input method, the faster the functions will improve".
