Oman- Haya Water improving wastewater plant
Haya Water is working to enhance the Al Ansab Wastewater Treatment Plant, which is considered the largest in terms of capacity, in order to cope with the population and urban growth and to meet the demand of connecting Bausher area to the Wastewater Treatment Plant instead of relying on yellow sewage tankers.
Eng Hussain Abdul Hussain, CEO of Haya Water, during his visit said that the receiving capacity of the plant has jumped to 125,000m3/day after finishing the second expansion phase of the project by the end of last year and 38,803 residential and commercial units have been connected to the plant.
During the regular site visit of Haya Water leadership team, new offices allocated for the Operation and Maintenance team were officially opened.
Khamis al Khatri, HR general service manager, said that Haya Water strives to provide the best work environment either through the provision of well-equipped and furnished offices or through other services granted to Haya Water employees and their family members such as medical insurance.
