Jordan- Finance minister: Billing bylaw goes into force
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, July 23 (Petra) -- The new billing bylaw has passed through all due constitutional process and is now effective, said Minister of Finance Dr. Ezzedine Kanakryah on Tuesday, adding that the new system is a win-win deal for both the buyer and the seller.
In a statement, the minister said feedback from all stakeholders had been taken into account, indicating that the new billing system will reflect positively on the national economy and promote tax equity.
Furthermore, the system will substantiate the rights of both the seller and the buyer by providing a written instrument that can be utilized if a conflict arises. It will also curb tax evasion and dodging.
