Haradinaj steps down as Kosovo PM
(MENAFN) Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj was announced to have resigned from his post following an accusation of being a suspect of war crimes.
The Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Office in The Hague summoned the prime minister to give a testimony as a "suspect".
Kosovo's Prime Minister Haradinaj stressed that "it was not an easy decision not only for me, but for the whole government."
Haradinaj was held in trial in the past twice at the international tribunal in The Hague, however, he was acquitted for lack of evidence.
