(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Security has been increased along the streets of Jaffna after a shooting incident last night.
The Police had opened fire on a group of youth on motorcycles after they had failed to stop at a checkpoint in Manipay.
One youth was killed in the shooting incident while another sustained injuries.
The Police said that they suspect the group were part of the ‘Aava gang' and that they had swords in their possession.
