Kuwait- NCCL signs contract with British Council


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) LONDON, July 4 (KUNA) -- The National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) signed on Thursday a contract with the British Council as being one of the leading countries in the Knowledge field.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Assistant Secretary-General for the Culture Sector in NCCL Dr. Issa Al-Ansari said signing of the contract with the British side came as an implementation of the memorandum of understanding, inked by the two countries in culture and arts in June 2015.
Knowledge industry includes several areas, namely advertising, marketing, architecture, graphic design, product design, information technology, software, computer services, museums, exhibitions and visual arts, Al-Ansari explained.
He stressed the importance of cooperation with the British Council in such creative industries due to the ways in which it stimulates innovation
Dr. Issa Al-Ansari signed the contract on behalf the Kuwait side, while the Director General of the British Council, Michael Jordan, represented the British side.
The meeting is part of the Kuwaiti participating in the work of the 14th session of the Joint Kuwait -British Guidance Committee meetings.
In addition to Dr. Ansari, NCCL delegation included observer of International relations Mohamed Ben Redha and head of budgets department in the financial sector Faten Al-Riahi.(end)
