Turkey: vehicle accident kills 10 migrants, wounds 30 in Edirne


(MENAFN) Ten people have passed away and 30 more wounded when a vehicle carrying undocumented migrants crashed in northwestern Turkey, according to reports from the scene.

The governor of the Edirne province, Ekrem Canalp has arrived to the place where the accident occurred.

The governorate affirmed in a written statement that the suspicious vehicle failed to stop when cautioned.

The statement stated, "The vehicle driver didn't heed the gendarmerie warning telling him to stop and tried to make a fast escape only to hit a shop".
