Qatar's Attorney General meets US officials

Washington: Attorney General H E Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, currently in Washington, has met with Attorney General of the United States William Barr.

Discussions during the meeting dealt with bilateral judicial cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Dr Al-Marri congratulated his counterpart on his recent appointment as US Attorney General, wishing him success and wished further constructive cooperation between the legal institutions in Qatar and the United States.

Dr Al Marri also met with Ambassador Nathan Sales, the State Department's Coordinator for Counterterrorism, where a number of common issues were discussed.

He also met with US Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security James McMann and a number of his aides to review a number of issues and files of mutual interest.

Dr Al Marri also met with Director of the Counterterrorism Department of the US National Security Council Joe F.

The two sides exchanged views on a number of issues where Director of the Counterterrorism Department of the US National Security Council appreciated the efforts of the State of Qatar in combating terrorism.

The meetings were attended by Qatar's Ambassador to the United States Sheikh Mishaal bin Hamad Al Thani.
