Qatar condemns Egypt's Sinai attack
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, June 5 (KUNA) -- Qatar on Wednesday strongly condemned the attack on a security checkpoint north of Sinai which left several policemen killed early today.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry reiterated in a statement Qatar's firm stance towards rejecting violence and terrorism in all their manifestations.
The statement expressed Qatar's deepest sympathies with the families of those killed.
The Egyptian Interior Ministry announced that eight policemen were killed in a militant attack on a security checkpoint in North Sinai and five militants were killed in an ensuing gunfight. (end)
