Iranian, Russian officials discuss Middle East challenges


(MENAFN) Iran's Ambassador to Moscow Mehdi Sanaei and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin discussed the newest developments of the Middle East.

Both parties conferred issues about bilateral ties and the global and the local developments, especially in the Middle East containing Syria and Yemen.

During the meeting, the two officials emphasized the importance of continuation of Iran-Russia discussions about the events in the Middle East and North Africa.

Iran's ambassador to Moscow has already held discussions with Sergei Ryabkov, Russian deputy foreign minister and the country's chief negotiator on several global and local issues including the July 2015 nuclear agreement from which the U.S. pull out unilaterally on May 8, 2018.
