Brazil expresses regret for attacked UN mission in Mali
(MENAFN) The Brazilian government has condemned the recent attacks against the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).
On Saturday, terrorists targeted the MINUSMA in Timbuktu and Tessalit in northern Mali, killing a Nigerian soldier and injuring several others.
According to the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, the Brazilian government deeply regrets the two attacks last week, and expresses condolences to the family of the victim and to the government of Nigeria.
"Brazil reaffirms its support for the work of MINUSMA and the efforts of the international community to stabilize Mali," the ministry added.
