(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Egyptian and French naval conducted a maritime training drill in the Mediterranean Sea, the Egyptian Armed Forces emphasized in a statement. The drill was conducted with the contribution of French frigate SURCOUF and units from the Egyptian navy.The drill was carried out within the framework of the Egyptian Armed Forces' attempts to enhance military ties with several nations, according to the statement. The exercise contained maritime activities like how to apply sailing formations, counter hostile targets and repel non-traditional threats, in addition to conducting inspection of vessels.
