Turkish president to head for Iraq by year's end


(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced that late 2019, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be heading on a trip to Iraq.

This announcement was made in Baghdad during a joint press conference with Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali al-Hakim.

During the press conference, Cavusoglu affirmed "President Erdogan will visit Iraq to hold 4th High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting towards end of this year."

He also highlighted the significance of boosting bilateral ties between the two counties, saying that both he and al-Hakim addressing cooperation on all fields.
