Kurdish Province in Iran rattled by 3.9 quake

(MENAFN) Another earthquake measured at 3.9 magnitude stroke the Iranian Kurdish province of Kirmanshan on Saturday afternoon, said local sources.

According to unofficial Iranian sources, the epicenter of the earthquake has been reported to be in the town of Sarpol-e Zahab in Kirmanshan, adding that it was also felt in other areas around the province.

Last Sunday, an earthquake measured at 5.3 magnitude hit the same area which followed by the collapse of a number of buildings.

However, four months earlier, a strong earthquake struck several cities in Kirmanshan, killing nearly one thousand people, and wounding around 13,000 others.
