Google has launched a new 'budgeting' feature to prevent overspending on the Play Store.
The option, first discovered by VentureBeat, can be accessed from the marketplace itself and help you track monthly expenditure on apps, games, movies, and eBooks.
It can be a real life-saver, especially if you have a knack for impulse buying.
Here's how you can use it.

In order to help users avoid overspending, the search giant has launched an option to define a monthly budget.
With this capability, you can set a fixed limit for your spending, which Google will use to issue spending alerts.
Put simply, as you continue to spend, Google will issue warnings about closing in on the set limit.
However, it won't block your purchases

The capability is handy but it's worth noting that Google won't block your purchases if you reach or cross the limit. It will only show alerts that may help you decide for yourself.
How to use the new feature
Use
To start using this setting, open Google Play Store and head over to 'Account' section by tapping on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.
From Account, head over to the 'Purchase History' section and tap on 'Set Limit'
Here, you can define the maximum limit for Play Store shopping; you can also edit or remove the limit from the same option later.
Not everyone has this option, however
Fact
The budgeting feature has just started rolling out and it might be a while before you see it on your Play Store. So, if the 'Set Budget' option isn't showing yet, you might have to wait for a few days.
