Kuwaiti LNG imports hit 7.5m tons
(MENAFN) Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over the past three years stood at 7.5 million tonnes.
LNG was mostly imported in Kuwait from giants including Qatar Gas, British Petroleum (BP), and Royal Dutch Shell plc.
Imports of LNG in Kuwait played a crucial part to safeguard the GCC state from damaging environmental emissions that come from burning diesel and kerosene.
KPC previously sealed an agreement with Shell valued at USD12 billion for LNG cargos to reach Kuwait over a period of six years, and more deals with the other two giants.
