Somalia vows to fight terrorism until end


(MENAFN) The Somali government has promised to form efforts against terrorism and called the international community to stand by Mogadishu in its stabilization attempts.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire held an emergency meeting with envoys from the African Union, Britain, the European Union and the United States after 11 people were murdered and 15 others wounded in a terrorist attack, the ministry of information emphasized in a statement on Sunday.

The statement stated, "The Somali government leader's first priority is to ensure the safety and security in Somalia".

It affirmed that the meeting reviewed military support and tactics in combat terrorism and threats posed by al-Shabab.
