Turkey eyes turning into int'l defense hub
(MENAFN) Turkey is targeting turning into an international hub for defense industry, announced Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"Unique designs and advanced technology" will play a vital role in accomplishing this target, the Turkish president told an election rally.
It comes one year after aerospace and defense industry exports marked a 17 percent boost in Turkey to hits USD2.035 billion, breaking records.
According to an analyst, the aerospace and defense industry in Turkey witnessed great reforms since 2003 as the country commenced significant defense initiatives.
