Turkey jumps 2.7 percent in consumer confidence index


(MENAFN) Turkish statistical authority TurkStat confirmed the country to have recorded a 2.7 percent boost in its consumer confidence index in March, reaching 59.4.

This comes in comparison to the 0.7 percent decline registered in February in the consumers' confidence to hit 57.8 from January's 58.2, the statistical authority revealed.

TurkStat unveiled that "the general economic situation expectation index, which was 75 in February, increased by 4.9 percent to 78.6 in March."

It added "the number of people unemployed expectation index - 59 in February - decreased by 0.1 percent to 58.9 in March."
