Kazakh President Nazarbayev resigns
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev announced his resignation on March 19, Trend reports via Sputnik International.
Nazarbayev has been serving as President of Kazakhstan for 28 years, since the office was created on April 24, 1990.
Speaker of the country's senate Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will execute the office of the president until a new president is elected.
