Qatar Airways to suspend Sudan flights

DOHA: Qatar Airways has announced it's suspending flights to and from Khartoum from the last day of this month.

Qatar Airways Support (@qrsupport) tweeted:

'Due to commercial reasons, all Qatar Airways flights to/from Khartoum, Sudan will be temporarily suspended effective 31 March 2019 until further notice. Passengers with existing booking can call our 24-hour call centre at +974 4023 0000 or DM @QRsupport for further assistance.

The airline had earlier informed on its website:

'Due to commercial reasons, we regret to inform our partners and customers that Qatar Airways has suspended ticketing authority in Sudan market. Please note that on 3 February 2019, the flight frequencies will decrease to five flights weekly and starting on 1st March, decrease to three flights weekly.
