Saudi- 22nd Gulf Engineering Forum Recommends Importance of Developing Engineering in GCC countries

Dammam, March 13, 2019, SPA -- The 22nd Gulf Engineering Forum, organized by the Saudi Council of Engineers in cooperation with the Gulf Engineering Union under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Region, has wrapped up in Dammam under the title: "The Engineering Reality in Light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution".
The forum, which ended yesterday,
issued a number of recommendations that will develop the engineering field in the GCC countries. The recommendations included redesigning the educational, engineering and academic programs in higher education and vocational training institutions in the GCC countries in line with the requirements of the labor market in different sectors.
The recommendations also included establishing a joint digital data platform among the GCC countries to feed the industrial engineering sectors with the necessary data that would be helpful to build smart factories and use the artificial intelligence in raising production efficiency.
