Tanzania: 2 die of Anthrax outbreak
(MENAFN) Authorities declared that two people have been killed as eight more were wounded after an anthrax outbreak in northern Tanzania's district of Moshi.
Anna Mghwira, Kilimanjaro Regional Commissioner confirmed that eight people were admitted at two different hospitals for medical care.
Five were taken to Kilema Mission Hospital in the district and three more were shifted to the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Moshi Municipality.
She added that the victims were suspected to have consumed the meat of a deceased cow, which died of anthrax.
